Bhutan is known for its colorful festivals, taking place at different times of the year at different regions. The most popular is the “Tshechu” known to attract people in their best attires. It is a religious festival based in Buddhism. This festival is celebrated on the 10th day of a particular month. This festival is celebrated for several days ranging for three days to fine days. During this festival various folk dances, masks dances known as “Cham” and other theatrical performance consisting, epics of saints are performed. Monks, and laymen from the locality will perform these dances.

The most popular of these festivals are the Paro Tsechu, Thimphu Tsechu, and the Ura Yakchoe

River Rafting

White water rafting is recreational outdoor activities which is solely possible in Punakha throughout the year. Yes, Paro and Thimphu recently started with the water adventure as it is possible during monsoon season i.e June, July and August.

Rock Climbing

It is as charming as climbing upwards to the sky hidden with the meadows and Nature. People from developed countries have created it long before we knew it so very few come for rock climbing.

Archery

Being archery the national game of Bhutan, to witness this game you need to know many songs as it is part of the game under compulsion. So the distance is around 130-150 yards away. Woman also play a very important role in bringing up the boisterous game. They sing out melodious and soothing song to their team motivating to heat the target however when their opponent shoots they will throw out criticism in melody to distract the shooter.

Mountain Biking

If interested we can ride in the streets of Bhutan or get lost with the trees or playing with the mountains climbing up and down. In Bhutan we say " what goes up, must come down In a bending way". So it makes you eager to see what lies next from each bend.

Motorcycle Ride

To ride in this Himalayan Kingdom one will forget how many mountains along with bends have crossed through ones ride. The climatic conditions will differ within a time period and the distance covered. One will experience the joy of riding in these mountains with utmost faith.

Bird Watching

Patience and time is the main assets while going for wilderness. There are around 760 species of Birds in Bhutan. To see it we have naturally created zoo as the forest cover is 72% and 54% of the forest is under preserve area.
